Ten years of keeping Indiana buildings in working order
Owner-operated, locally dispatched, and built on the unglamorous idea that a cleaning contract should say exactly what it delivers.
How the company started
John Davis spent fifteen years running janitorial operations for larger contractors before founding WECB Facility Services in Indianapolis in 2016. The recurring frustration was always the same: clients were sold a standard of service during the pitch and quietly given a thinner version of it a few months later, because nobody had written the standard down.
WECB started with one van, three employees and a rule that has not changed — every account gets a printed scope of work, and the crew is measured against it. The first client was a 6,000 square foot accounting office on the north side. They are still with us.
What we are today
We now service roughly 180 buildings across Marion, Hamilton, Hendricks and Johnson counties, running nightly, weekly and daytime porter routes with a payroll of full-time, W-2 employees. We deliberately have not franchised and we do not sell accounts to subcontractors. Growth has come from referrals between facility managers, which is the only marketing channel that has ever really worked for us.
The office and equipment yard at 129 Van Ness Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46218, USA handles dispatch, chemical storage, machine maintenance and training. If you want to see how we store and maintain equipment before you hire us, you are welcome to visit.

Four things we refuse to compromise on
Write it down
If a task is not on the scope of work, it does not exist. Ambiguity is how service quality quietly erodes, so we remove it at the contract stage.
Keep the crew
We pay above the local janitorial average and promote supervisors from inside. Low turnover is the single strongest predictor of consistent buildings.
Inspect honestly
Scored inspections go to the client whether the score is good or bad. A report that is always perfect is a report nobody reads.
Answer the phone
A named person, in Indianapolis, during business hours — and an on-call number after them. Facility problems do not keep office hours.
The people behind the accounts
John Davis

Amy Kowalski

Insurance, screening and safety
Before a crew member sets foot in a client building they complete an identity check, a criminal background check, and an in-house training block covering chemical handling, bloodborne pathogen awareness, ladder and equipment safety, and key control. Training is refreshed annually and documented.
We maintain general liability and workers' compensation coverage and will issue a certificate of insurance naming your entity as additional insured before the first shift, at no charge. Safety data sheets for every product used in your building are kept on site and provided in digital form on request.
Keys, fobs and alarm codes are logged in a controlled register. When an employee leaves the company, access is revoked and clients on affected sites are notified in writing the same week.
